Shuwa (grilled Spiced Shrimp)

Ingredients

  • 1 kg large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the marinade. Let them marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the shrimp onto skewers and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque.
  5. Remove the shrimp from the grill and serve hot.
