Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns, toasted and ground
- 1 head iceberg or butter lettuce, leaves separated
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the sliced flank steak with soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and cornstarch for 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or skillet over high heat. Add the minced garlic and marinated beef, stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the beef is cooked through.
- Stir in the ground Sichuan peppercorns and cook for another minute. Remove from heat.
- To assemble the lettuce wraps, place a spoonful of the cooked beef onto a lettuce leaf, top with shredded carrots and green onions, then roll it up.
