Ingredients
- 1.5 kg beef chuck, cut into cubes
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tbsp sweet paprika
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 liter beef stock
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until the onions are translucent.
- Add the beef cubes to the pot and brown them on all sides.
- Stir in the sweet paprika and tomato paste, coating the beef evenly.
- Pour in the beef stock and add the bay leaves. Season with salt and pepper.
- Bring the goulash to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Once the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened, remove the bay leaves and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Serve the gulasz wołowy śląski hot, accompanied by crusty bread or mashed potatoes.
