Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 lb mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, warm water, and salt to form a dough. Knead the dough until smooth, then cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped mushrooms and onions, and sauté until the mixture is golden brown. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut it into squares. Place a spoonful of the mushroom mixture in the center of each square, then fold the dough over to form a triangle and pinch the edges to seal.
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the dumplings for about 5-7 minutes or until they float to the surface. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.
- Serve the Silesian Mushroom Dumplings hot, garnished with a dollop of sour cream or a sprinkle of fresh herbs.
