Silesian Mushroom Pie (Ciasto grzybowe śląskie)

Ingredients

  • 500g of fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 eggs
  • 200g of sour cream
  • 200g of all-purpose flour
  • 100g of butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a pan, sauté the mushrooms and onions until they are soft and any liquid has evaporated. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, sour cream, and melted butter. Gradually add the flour and mix until smooth.
  4. Spread half of the batter in a greased baking dish.
  5. Add the mushroom and onion mixture on top of the batter.
  6. Pour the remaining batter over the mushrooms.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
