Silesian Potato Pie (Ziemniaczane ciasto śląskie)

Ingredients

  • 6 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 8 slices of bacon, diced
  • 2 onions, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle half of the diced bacon and sliced onions over the potatoes.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, bacon, and onions.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
