Ingredients
- 500g mutton, cut into small pieces
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 tbsp yogurt
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 cup oil
- 8 small flour tortillas
- Chopped cilantro, for garnish
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few minutes.
- Now add the mutton pieces and cook until they are browned.
- Stir in the tomato puree, yogurt, and spices. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Add water, cover the pan, and let the mutton cook on low heat until tender.
- Warm the tortillas in a separate pan or in the oven.
- Assemble the tacos by placing a spoonful of the mutton mixture in each tortilla. Top with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
