Sindhi Bhugal Mutton Tacos

Ingredients

  • 500g mutton, cut into small pieces
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • Chopped cilantro, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few minutes.
  3. Now add the mutton pieces and cook until they are browned.
  4. Stir in the tomato puree, yogurt, and spices. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add water, cover the pan, and let the mutton cook on low heat until tender.
  6. Warm the tortillas in a separate pan or in the oven.
  7. Assemble the tacos by placing a spoonful of the mutton mixture in each tortilla. Top with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
