Ingredients

  • 12 tostada cups
  • 500g mutton, cut into small pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few minutes. Then, add the mutton pieces and cook until they are browned.
  3. Stir in the tomato puree, yogurt, and all the spices. Mix well and cook for about 45-50 minutes until the mutton is tender and the gravy thickens.
  4. Once the mutton is cooked, spoon the bhugal mutton into the tostada cups and garnish with fresh cilantro.
