Sindhi Dal Pakwan Nachos

Ingredients
- 1 cup chana dal (split Bengal gram)
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- 4-6 pakwan (crispy fried Sindhi bread)
- 1 cup nacho chips
- 1/2 cup grated cheese
Instructions
- Wash the chana dal and pressure cook with turmeric powder, salt, and 3 cups of water until soft.
- Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
- Add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes, green chili, red chili powder, and garam masala. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
- Add the cooked dal to the tomato mixture and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- To assemble the nachos, place a layer of pakwan on a serving platter, top with a layer of nacho chips, and sprinkle grated cheese on top.
- Serve the dal alongside the nachos for dipping.
