سندھی کڑی (Sindhi Kadi) is a traditional Muhajir Cuisine dish that is known for its tangy and spicy flavors. It is a yogurt-based curry that is typically served with steamed rice.
Ingredients
- 1 cup gram flour (besan)
- 2 cups plain yogurt
- 4 cups water
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 potato, diced
- 1/2 cup okra, sliced
- 1/2 cup drumsticks (moringa), cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 2-3 green chilies, slit
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix gram flour and yogurt to make a smooth paste.
- Heat oil in a pot and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and sliced onion. Sauté until the onion is golden brown.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
- Pour in the gram flour and yogurt mixture. Add water and stir well.
- Add potatoes, okra, and drumsticks. Season with salt.
- Cover and cook on medium heat for 20-25 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
