Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh coriander, chopped
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
- 4 burger buns
- Butter for toasting
- Sliced tomatoes, onions, and lettuce for garnish
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, chopped onion, green chilies, fresh coriander, cumin seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
- Add water gradually and knead the mixture into a firm dough.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape them into thick patties, similar to burger buns.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and place the patties on it. Cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Toast the burger buns with a little butter until they are golden and crisp.
- Assemble the Sindhi Koki Burger by placing a Koki patty on the bottom half of each burger bun. Top with sliced tomatoes, onions, and lettuce. Cover with the top half of the burger bun.
