Sindhi Koki Tostada
Sindhi Koki Tostada is a delicious and crispy dish from the Sindhi cuisine, perfect for a quick and flavorful breakfast or snack.
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, chopped onion, green chilies, cumin seeds, red chili powder, and salt.
- Add water gradually and knead the mixture into a firm dough.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a flat disc (koki).
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and place the koki on it.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, applying a little oil until both sides are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the pan and place on a serving plate.
- Top each koki with your favorite toppings like salsa, guacamole, or sour cream to create the tostada.
