Sindhi Seyal Mani (سندھی سیال مانی)

Ingredients

  • 500g mutton, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely sliced
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 4-5 green chilies, slit
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  2. Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few minutes.
  4. Now add mutton pieces and cook until they change color.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  6. Whisk the yogurt and add it to the mutton. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Add green chilies and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the mutton is tender.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with naan or rice.
