Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh coriander, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Water for kneading
- 2 tbsp oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, chopped onion, green chilies, fresh coriander, cumin seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
- Add water gradually and knead the mixture into a firm dough.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and shape them into small balls.
- Take one ball of dough and roll it out into a small disc, similar to the size of a crostini.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and place the rolled dough disc on it.
- Cook the dough disc on both sides until golden brown, brushing with oil as needed.
- Repeat the process for the remaining dough portions.
- Once all the koki crostinis are cooked, remove them from the pan and let them cool slightly.
- Serve the Sindhi Style (Koki Crostini) warm with your favorite dip or chutney.
