Sindhi Style (koki Crostini)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water for kneading
  • 2 tbsp oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, chopped onion, green chilies, fresh coriander, cumin seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
  2. Add water gradually and knead the mixture into a firm dough.
  3. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and shape them into small balls.
  4. Take one ball of dough and roll it out into a small disc, similar to the size of a crostini.
  5. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and place the rolled dough disc on it.
  6. Cook the dough disc on both sides until golden brown, brushing with oil as needed.
  7. Repeat the process for the remaining dough portions.
  8. Once all the koki crostinis are cooked, remove them from the pan and let them cool slightly.
  9. Serve the Sindhi Style (Koki Crostini) warm with your favorite dip or chutney.
