Sindhi Style (koki Tartlets)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Water as needed

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, chopped onion, green chilies, cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, and oil.
  2. Add water gradually and knead the mixture into a firm dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and roll each portion into a small disc shape.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and cook each disc for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels. Serve the Sindhi Style (Koki Tartlets) hot with chutney or yogurt.
