Ingredients
- 1 package of puff pastry
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
- In a bowl, whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract.
- Slowly pour the milk into the bowl with the sugar mixture, whisking constantly.
- Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
- Remove from heat and let the custard cool to room temperature.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 12 squares.
- Place a spoonful of the custard in the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over the custard to form a triangle and press the edges to seal.
- Place the pillows on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let the pillows cool, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
