Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup bamboo shoots, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 1/4 cup tapioca flour
  • Wonton wrappers

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the ground chicken, shrimp, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, and green onions. Pulse until finely chopped.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add the egg, salt, sugar, white pepper, and tapioca flour. Mix until well combined.
  3. Place a spoonful of the filling onto a wonton wrapper. Fold and seal the edges to form a dumpling.
  4. Steam the dumplings for 10-12 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Serve the siomay with peanut sauce.
