Sisig Surprise
Sisig Surprise is a popular Kapampangan dish known for its savory and tangy flavors. This dish is made from chopped pig's face and ears, seasoned with calamansi, onions, and chili peppers.
Ingredients
- 1 lb pig's face and ears, chopped
- 1/4 cup calamansi juice
- 1/2 cup onion, minced
- 2-3 pieces red chili peppers, minced
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a pot, boil the chopped pig's face and ears until tender. Drain and let it cool.
- Grill the boiled pig's face and ears until crispy. Chop into small pieces.
- In a bowl, mix calamansi juice, vinegar, soy sauce, minced onion, garlic, and chili peppers. Add the chopped pig's face and ears. Season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a pan and cook the sisig mixture until sizzling and aromatic.
- Transfer to a sizzling plate and serve hot.
