Sizzling Shish Kebabs (Καυτερά σουβλάκια)
Καυτερά σουβλάκια, or Sizzling Shish Kebabs, are a traditional dish from the Komi cuisine that is bursting with flavor and spice. These kebabs are perfect for a summer barbecue or a cozy indoor meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound of lamb, cut into cubes
- 1 red onion, cut into chunks
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the stovetop grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- Add the lamb, onion, and bell peppers to the bowl and toss to coat the ingredients evenly.
- Thread the marinated lamb, onion, and bell peppers onto skewers.
- Place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
