Skewered Meat (traditional Tasqebap)
Skewered Meat, known as Traditional Tasqebap, is a popular dish in Albanian cuisine. This recipe features tender pieces of meat marinated and grilled to perfection, resulting in a flavorful and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs of beef, cut into cubes
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Wooden skewers, soaked in water
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the chopped onion, minced garlic, olive oil, red wine vinegar, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Add the beef cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated beef cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers.
- Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
