Ingredients
- 1 kg smoked pork belly
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp juniper berries
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, sear the smoked pork belly on all sides until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add the beef broth and juniper berries to the pot. Return the pork belly to the pot and simmer for 1.5 hours, or until the meat is tender.
- Remove the pork belly from the pot and let it rest. Strain the sauce and return it to the pot.
- Stir in the heavy cream and simmer until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
- Slice the pork belly and serve with the juniper berry sauce.
