Smoked Pork With Mustard Greens

Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked pork, cut into cubes
  • 2 bunches mustard greens, washed and chopped
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3-4 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Heat mustard oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and green chilies, and sauté until the onions are golden brown.
  3. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the smoked pork cubes and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Next, add the chopped mustard greens and mix well with the pork.
  6. Pour in the water, season with salt, and cover the pot. Let it simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the pork is tender and the greens are cooked through.
  7. Once done, remove from heat and serve hot with steamed rice or flatbread.
