Smoky Pork Raja
Smoky Pork Raja is a traditional Naga Cuisine dish that features tender pork cooked in a smoky and spicy gravy, perfect for a hearty meal.
Ingredients
- 500g pork, cut into cubes
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2-3 green chilies, slit
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few minutes.
- Next, add the pork cubes and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- Add the tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in 2 cups of water, cover the pan, and let the pork cook on low heat for about 45 minutes or until tender.
- Sprinkle garam masala, add green chilies, and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
