Snail and Vegetable Stir-Fry (Nyama Nyama Légumes)
Nyama Nyama Légumes is a traditional Cameroonian stir-fry dish that combines snails with a variety of fresh vegetables, creating a flavorful and nutritious meal.
Ingredients
- 500g snails, cleaned and prepared
- 2 onions, sliced
- 3 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 bell peppers, sliced
- 1 cup green beans, trimmed
- 1 cup carrots, julienned
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the onions, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until the onions are translucent.
- Add the snails and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the tomatoes, bell peppers, green beans, and carrots. Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
