Ingredients

  • 2 cups gram flour (besan)
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat ghee over low heat.
  2. Add gram flour and roast on low heat until it turns golden brown and aromatic.
  3. Turn off the heat and let it cool for 5 minutes.
  4. Add sugar, cardamom powder, and chopped nuts. Mix well.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased plate and spread it evenly using a spatula.
  6. Let it cool for 15-20 minutes, then cut into desired shapes.
  7. Soan Papri is ready to be served.
