Sobolo Sizzle
Sobolo Sizzle is a refreshing and spicy drink that is popular in Ghana. Made from the hibiscus flower, it is a perfect beverage for hot days and social gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers
- 8 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the hibiscus flowers, ginger, cloves, and cinnamon stick to the boiling water.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and strain the liquid into a pitcher.
- Stir in the sugar and lemon juice until the sugar is dissolved.
- Refrigerate until chilled.
- Serve over ice and enjoy!
