Ingredients

  • 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the hibiscus flowers, ginger, cloves, and cinnamon stick to the boiling water.
  3. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and strain the liquid into a pitcher.
  5. Stir in the sugar and lemon juice until the sugar is dissolved.
  6. Refrigerate until chilled.
  7. Serve over ice and enjoy!
