Soft Mutton Seekh Kebabs (galawati Seekh Kebab)
Soft Mutton Seekh Kebabs, also known as Galawati Seekh Kebab, are a popular dish from the Awadhi cuisine, known for its rich and flavorful taste. These kebabs are incredibly tender and melt in your mouth, making them a favorite among kebab lovers.
Ingredients
- 500g mutton, minced
- 2 tbsp raw papaya paste
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 cup fried onions
- 2 tbsp roasted chickpea flour
- 1/2 cup hung curd
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
- 1/2 tsp mace powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup ghee
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the minced mutton, raw papaya paste, ginger-garlic paste, fried onions, roasted chickpea flour, hung curd, garam masala, nutmeg powder, mace powder, black pepper, and salt. Let it marinate for 2 hours.
- After marination, divide the mixture into equal portions and mold them onto seekh (metal skewers).
- Heat ghee in a pan and cook the kebabs on medium heat until they are evenly browned and cooked through.
- Serve hot with mint chutney and sliced onions.
