Ingredients

  • 4-5 pickling cucumbers, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp whole black peppercorns
  • 2-3 sprigs fresh dill

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine water, vinegar, salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil and stir until the salt and sugar are dissolved.
  2. Place the sliced cucumbers, garlic, peppercorns, and dill into a clean quart-sized jar.
  3. Pour the hot brine over the cucumbers, ensuring they are completely submerged.
  4. Let the pickles cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
