Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz pasta of your choice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until softened.
  3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine, then add the cooked chicken back into the skillet. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  4. While the chicken is simmering, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sesame seeds, butter, and sugar to form the cookie dough. Shape the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet. Flatten each ball with a fork and bake at 350°F for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Serve the chicken with tomato sauce over the cooked pasta, and enjoy the sesame cookies for dessert.
