Sorghum Beer Chicken (chibuku Chicken)
Sorghum Beer Chicken, also known as Chibuku Chicken, is a traditional Zimbabwean dish that is marinated in a flavorful mixture of sorghum beer and spices, then grilled to perfection. The result is a juicy and tender chicken with a unique and delicious flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs
- 1 cup sorghum beer
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the sorghum beer, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the chicken thighs in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and grill for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove from the grill and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
