Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs beef, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup apricot jam
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the yogurt, curry powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, cumin, coriander, onion, garlic, vinegar, apricot jam, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the beef chunks to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the stovetop grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated beef chunks onto the soaked skewers.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Serve the sosaties hot with rice, couscous, or flatbread.
