Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp coriander

  • 6 cups water or beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and cook until they are soft and translucent.
  3. Add the cubed beef or lamb to the pot and brown on all sides.
  4. Stir in the cumin, turmeric, coriander, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add the diced tomatoes and cook for a few minutes until they start to break down.
  6. Pour in the water or beef broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
