Spaghetti Lasagna
Spaghetti lasagna is a delightful fusion of Italian and American cuisines, combining the flavors of traditional lasagna with the convenience of spaghetti. This dish is perfect for a cozy family dinner or a casual gathering with friends.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
- 8 ounces spaghetti, cooked and drained
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the oregano, basil, and marinara sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Toss to coat the spaghetti evenly.
- Spread half of the meat sauce into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with the spaghetti mixture, then the remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
