Ingredients
- 6 slices of spam
- 3 cups of cooked sushi rice
- 6 sheets of nori (seaweed)
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- 1/4 cup of mirin
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
Instructions
- Cut each slice of spam in half to make 12 smaller pieces.
- In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, mirin, and sugar to make the teriyaki sauce.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the spam until lightly browned.
- Brush the teriyaki sauce onto the spam slices and continue to cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, until the sauce caramelizes.
- Place a sheet of nori on a clean surface and lay a musubi mold in the center.
- Fill the mold with a layer of rice, then top with a slice of spam, and press it down gently.
- Remove the mold and wrap the nori around the rice and spam, sealing the edges with a little water.
- Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 6 musubi rolls.
