Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Mix well.
- Add the warm milk, butter, and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Punch the dough down and divide it into 12 equal parts. Shape each part into a ball.
- Roll each ball in bread crumbs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Cover the dough balls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the bread for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
