Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Mix well.
  2. Add the warm milk, butter, and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch the dough down and divide it into 12 equal parts. Shape each part into a ball.
  6. Roll each ball in bread crumbs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Cover the dough balls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Bake the bread for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
