Spiced Camel Stew is a traditional dish from Western Saharan Cuisine, known for its rich flavors and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 1 kg camel meat, cut into cubes
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 4 cups beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the camel meat over medium heat.
- Add the onions and garlic, and cook until softened.
- Stir in the tomatoes, carrots, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 2 hours, or until the meat is tender.
- Season with salt and pepper before serving.
