Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 4-5 green chilies, slit
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- Salt to taste
- 3 tbsp oil
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few minutes.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are slightly browned.
- Stir in the tomato puree, yogurt, and all the spices. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the water, cover the pan, and let the chicken simmer for 20-25 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
