Spiced Lamb Kebabs With Tahini Yogurt Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs lamb, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the lamb, onion, garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, parsley, mint, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 1 hour.
  2. While the lamb is marinating, prepare the tahini yogurt sauce by combining the yogurt, tahini, lemon juice, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix until smooth and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  3. Thread the marinated lamb cubes onto skewers and grill or cook in a stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until the lamb is cooked to your desired doneness.
