Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp water
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, parsley, salt, and pepper. Divide the mixture and shape into 8 long, oval kofta patties.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the kofta patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.
- While the kofta is cooking, prepare the tahini yogurt sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the tahini, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, water, and salt until smooth.
- Serve the spiced lamb kofta with the tahini yogurt sauce drizzled on top. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
