Spiced Lamb Meatballs (Kuzu Köfte)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the meatballs in the skillet for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  5. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
  6. Serve the Kuzu Köfte hot with your choice of side dishes.
