Spiced Lamb Stew (ГӀуламаш)

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs lamb, cut into cubes
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp coriander
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the lamb over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions and garlic, and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in the carrots, potatoes, and tomatoes.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and add the cumin, paprika, coriander, turmeric, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring the stew to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 2 hours, or until the lamb is tender.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
