Ingredients
- 2 cups dried yellow peas
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup tamarind chutney
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Soak the dried yellow peas in water for 4-5 hours, then drain.
- Cook the soaked peas in a pot of water until tender, then drain and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked peas, chopped onion, diced tomatoes, green chili, tamarind chutney, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately.
