Spicy Axone Chicken

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, cut into pieces
  • 3 tbsp axone (fermented soybean)
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3-4 green chilies, slit
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with axone, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions, green chilies, ginger, and garlic until golden brown.
  3. Add the marinated chicken and cook for 10 minutes on medium heat.
  4. Pour in the water and simmer for another 10-15 minutes until the chicken is tender and the flavors are well blended.
  5. Serve hot with steamed rice.
