Spicy Beef Jerky

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of beef, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, making sure it is fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat the dehydrator to 160°F (70°C).
  4. Remove the beef from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels.
  5. Place the beef strips on the dehydrator trays, leaving space between each piece for air circulation.
  6. Dehydrate the beef for 3-4 hours, or until it reaches your desired level of dryness and chewiness.
  7. Once done, allow the beef jerky to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
