  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
  • 2 tbsp chili bean paste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cooking wine
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt, to taste
  • 6 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. In a pot, heat some oil and sauté the green onions, ginger, garlic, star anise, cinnamon stick, and Sichuan peppercorns until fragrant.
