Spicy Beef Suya Skewers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup groundnut powder (peanut powder)
  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 wooden skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the groundnut powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ginger powder, and salt to make the suya spice mix.
  2. Add the vegetable oil to the spice mix to form a paste.
  3. Thread the beef slices onto the soaked skewers and generously coat them with the suya spice paste.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Grill the beef skewers for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
