Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup (120ml) soy sauce
- 1/4 cup (60ml) brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 pear, grated
- 2 tbsp (30ml) sesame oil
- 1 tbsp (15ml) gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
- 1 tbsp (15ml) vegetable oil
- 4 cups (960ml) steamed rice
- Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, grated pear, sesame oil, and gochujang to make the marinade.
- Add the sliced beef and onion to the marinade, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until the beef is browned and cooked through.
- Divide the steamed rice among serving bowls and top with the cooked bulgogi. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
