Spicy Chatamari (तेलको चाटामरी)
तेलको चाटामरी (Spicy Chatamari) is a traditional Newari dish that is a type of rice crepe topped with a spicy meat mixture. It is a popular snack or appetizer in Nepal, especially during festivals and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 cups rice flour
- 1 cup minced meat (chicken or mutton)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the rice flour with water to make a thin batter.
- Heat a non-stick pan and pour a ladleful of the batter to make a thin crepe.
- In a separate pan, heat oil and sauté the onions until golden brown.
- Add the minced meat, tomatoes, green chilies, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the meat is fully cooked.
- Spread the meat mixture on top of the rice crepe and cook for a few more minutes.
- तेलको चाटामरी (Spicy Chatamari) is ready to be served hot.
