तेलको चाटामरी (Spicy Chatamari) is a traditional Newari dish that is a type of rice crepe topped with a spicy meat mixture. It is a popular snack or appetizer in Nepal, especially during festivals and gatherings.

Spicy Chatamari (तेलको चाटामरी)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rice flour
  • 1 cup minced meat (chicken or mutton)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the rice flour with water to make a thin batter.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan and pour a ladleful of the batter to make a thin crepe.
  3. In a separate pan, heat oil and sauté the onions until golden brown.
  4. Add the minced meat, tomatoes, green chilies, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the meat is fully cooked.
  5. Spread the meat mixture on top of the rice crepe and cook for a few more minutes.
  6. तेलको चाटामरी (Spicy Chatamari) is ready to be served hot.
