Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 2-3 spicy peppers, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the cold butter to the flour mixture and use your fingers to rub it in until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the shredded cheese and chopped spicy peppers.
  5. Add the milk and mix until a dough forms.
  6. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead it gently a few times.
  7. Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  9. Let the bread cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
