Spicy Chicken Sukka

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated coconut
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, and sauté for a few minutes.
  3. Now, add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
  4. Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  5. Add the chicken pieces and salt. Cook on medium heat until the chicken is tender and the masala coats the pieces well.
  6. Add the grated coconut and cook for another 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
